Lowden Valley Chronicles
Lowden Valley - a once-sleepy community that has recently become all the rage with SimCity refugees fleeing high real estate prices and even higher traffic congestion. Connected to the SimCity via a sleek new monorail, Lowden Valley is growing quickly.
The Lowden Valley stories started on a whim when I'd made a simself and threw her into an empty neighbourhood. I wasn't really serious about the stories at first, which you'll probably be able to tell from the first Cora Dixon story or two. ;-) But soon some friends gave me their simselves, and then I cajoled a few more to give me theirs, and now I have seven super Sims living in Lowden Valley with stories on the go!
While these are all "simselves", nothing I write here is intentionally meant to reflect upon the person behind the Sim, nor anyone else in life, for that matter. Names, situations, and personalities are all made up out of that tangled mass we like to refer to as "Webby's brain", but which rarely functions on a "normal" level.
The stories are listed in the chronological order I wrote them in at the right. Read from top to bottom, or pick and choose, it's up to you!
Here's an intro to the characters you'll see in these stories.

It had been one of the few things that got her through the last 6 months while her mother was sick and her boss was being a tyrant. When she'd found the beach house to lease, she'd been ecstatic. A month in a beach house, all on her own, no one to need her or make demands or even talk to. It sounded perfect. Of course, life is very rarely "perfect". |

Cole Grierson. A young upstart hired as Lowden Valley City Planner in an emergency when the current city planner was forced to retire due to bad health - right in the middle of talks about a second monorail to SimCity. But Cole had proven he was worth his stripes already. And despite his unconventional look for a "desk job man", Cora Dixon had to admit he was suited for the job. She just wished he wouldn't stare at her with those eyes anymore. |
