I got this little idea today and wanted to give it a go. It’s a narrated walk-through of a room I built quite awhile ago for Radford Island’s William Comstock. William is destined to be mayor one day, so I knew he’d need a home office. But of course, since all the houses on Radford Island are turn-of-the-century, he wanted his office to reflect a little of the old grandeur. I hope I succeeded.
Here’s how it works – you click on the button to start the recorded narration. NOTE that it will open a new window or tab, so while it’s connecting, be sure to come right back to this page. Then click on the first pic in the gallery below to open the lightbox. When you hear the chime sound, click on the next pic for the next description – just like in those old storybooks we listened to as kids on record or cassette or CD! Have fun!
I’d like to thank WavSource.com for the chime sound I used in this recording, Vocaroo.com for the online recording app, and Fashionista for pointing me to Vocaroo in the first place.
Note: I have just noticed that this message will only stay saved on Vocaroo for 5-6 months. So if you got to this post and the narration is gone, you’ll know why.
I figure that’s OK – it’s just a house tour. LOL However, it won’t do for stories, will it?

This is Awesome Webby! I thought of doing something like this too but now that I know that it only is saved for 5 to 6 months…..mmmm having second thoughts lol…I don’t know I might do a few for like my chit chat or something
The house is Beautiful! Especially the sim! <3
Thanks, Amanda.
I know, the 5-6 month thing kinda sucks, but I think it will be OK for certain posts – that otherwise don’t really need much explaining.
Although I’ve been thinking, now that I actually own a microphone, what’s to stop me from just recording a .wav file and embedding it into the post, right? I think that will be my next test! LOL
Not a bad idea Webby!…I say go for it with the .wav file..now you’ve planted an idea in my mind lol!
Love this idea (I even made an account and stuff, took me 15 minutes) that’s how much I loved it!
Thanks, guys! I’m glad you like it! I think it would be fun to hear each other’s voices on our blogs! LOL
What a brilliant idea Webby, but I don’t think I could sound as confident as you do!You might have been born to do voiceovers!
Hee hee hee! I’ll do [almost] anything for an audience, Chrissie!
OMG DAT VOICE! lol I don’t understand at all but your voice is smexy ^_^
Only just seen this, Buttercup! Wonderful narration, lovely to hear your voice again after so long – I’d completely forgotten what you sound like!
